Australia Visa China - Why use a migration agent?
DO I HAVE TO USE A MIGRATION AGENT?
The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) says on its web-site that a person does ‘… not need to use a migration agent to apply for any visa.’ And, ‘if you choose to use a migration agent, you should use a registered migration agent.’
You can make a visa application without the use of a migration agent, but we think you should think about the following reasons why you should use a registered migration agent.
• The visa application process may seem simple but they are very complex.
• The migration procedures are constantly changing as well as the way the DIAC uses the procedures in the assessment of a visa application.
• The procedures of other government and non-government organizations that are involved in some visa applications are also complex and always changing.
• Your application will be managed by a competent professional which enhances the chance of a successful outcome at the application stage, or if necessary on appeal to a tribunal or court.
• We shall develop a plan for your application and keep you informed throughout the process.
• A lot of clients see us after an application has been refused. This has cost them time and money; and in some cases it is harder to correct the damage already done. We can help, but it is always better to get it right the first time!
No competent migration agent will say they can guarantee success, but by using a migration agent a person is using the services of someone who is familiar with the migration law and procedures. We think this provides better outcomes for visa applicants.
In Australia, it is illegal for a person to provide immigration advice if they are not registered.
Australian visa application fees are not refundable in any circumstances after a valid visa application has been lodged and accepted by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
If you are not sure whether the person offering you immigration services is a registered migration agent, ask to see the Registered Migration Agent certificate. You can also check their validity at the Migration Agents Registration Authority website at :-
